Abraham Lincoln was born into a middle class family in 1809. He was a hard worker so he worked really really hard and became the 16th President of the United States Of America. Despite his limited education, he pursued a career in law and entered politics. Lincoln's become famous and came to spotlight during the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. Here he worked to preserve the unity of the United States while some southern states sought to build their own countries.
One of Lincoln's greatest achievements was the Emancipation Proclamation, this was the deal maker that played an important role in removing of slavery. Lincoln was known for his honesty, sense of humor, and leadership. He is considered as America's most powerful president. Sadly Abraham was murdered in 1865, just after the Civil War.
